Removal of data centre and installing in new office location.
Clean and clear for new tenant.
Certo Construction began a full refurbishment of the new offices of Hotelbeds Paris with the acknowledgement of clearing, removing and disposal of the old office adhering to WEEE / all other disposal regulations.
The old office had to be cleared and cleaned to a high standard as this was to be occupied by a new client.
Certo Construction placed all brand-new flooring and carpet throughout the office in addition to all new mechanical and electrical installations including floor boxes to all designated desks and meeting booths, replacing, and adding new lighting throughout the office to give a brighter and homely feel.
Installing a high resistance and low maintenance floor gave longevity to the office whilst keeping running costs to a minimum.
Certo Construction redesigned and installed all new plumbing and heating, this included new cubicles, sinks and sanitary wear to a new toilet block, and installation of a new kitchen all of which complimented the running of a 40-strong employee office. The main design for the kitchen was to keep a relaxed co-working atmosphere with the comforts of technology by making sure each high bench seating had a plug and USB port.
It was crucial for Certo Construction to choose a colour scheme for the furniture in line with Hotelbeds’ trading colours. Whilst undertaking the colour choice Certo construction wanted to incorporate the manifestation and signage design provided by Hotelbeds.
Although in the build phase of the office. Certo construction manufactured a bespoke hotdesking high table for 8 people. The high table with the iron wired lighting gave a comfortable and relaxed feeling with under desk and desktop power.
The two meeting rooms were significant to the client as one was a creative area to allow the various teams to relax and develop their ideas within their team and the other was for international meetings. For this, Certo Construction incorporated a seamless electrical design to maximise the functionality including TV screens, floor boxes, desktop power and high-end wall mounted VC products.
Challenges overcome
During Certo Construction produced a full design and build specification for the project in keeping with the issued programme, this was becoming more difficult to achieve as the timing was unlucky due to the ‘yellow vest’ riots being carried out at the same time as the project.
Although this was a struggle, Certo Construction was able to mitigate this by receiving deliveries in the night and using local contractors, in addition to a reshuffle of the organised works to keep the project on programme. It is Certo policy to always employ local contractors, designers and consultants to ensure that all works are compliant with the countries’ building rules and regulations.
